  1. Negative visualization. One of the more brilliant concepts I've heard. Use fear as motivational tool, not a barrier. Especially helpful for people with too much blind faith (that everything is going to work out) and an external locus of control.

  2. Straight up process is big. A huge factor in my lack of productivity is the genuine belief that I can accomplish almost anything. I feel pompous right now but I think often that is why unsophisticated people can do well in college. The people that have everything going for them are often demotivated to put in the work for what they already know they can do. The people that question their abilities are inspired to put in the effort and rise to the challenge. So it is a wash. If everyone was 100% certain that they could climb Mount Everest I don't think anyone would do it. In fact I have a huge pattern of not finishing things. I think it is partially because the more I prove that I can do something the less important it is for me to actually do it.

  3. The tip about negative visualisation really resonated with me. I think that’s what it takes to get me to hustle a lot more than positive visualisation. The latter puts me in a calm and relaxed mood and I do less. Great tip! Thank you 😊

  4. Wait what??? Didnt Atomic habits have a completely opposite message where it said that we should try to be someone rather than doing something. Because as long as our identity doesn't change from actively doing something to having a habit of doing it, we won't be able to change.

  5. If negative visualisation works for you great! But I would never try it because I believe it's not good for my mental state to be motivated by fear. Especially in the long run,so I would try to avoid making it a habit. Still, a lot to learn from this video. Love your content❤️

  6. First, I thought this video is not gonna help me because I don't have an ego but still I chose to watch this video, probably because I don't wanna miss any imp lesson from Ali. Believe me, this video solved my biggest concern which was over positive visualisation, just because of this my mind was continually getting distracted and I wasn't able to focus properly on my study. This was surprisingly great stuff for me. Tons of thanks, Ali.

  7. Ali, the quality and quantity of the content you put out is so good that it's overwhelming. When I binge your videos I feel like a prelithic caveman being sat in an M1 Abrams tank. What do I DO with this wisdom?

  8. I quite like how you mention that journey comes before destination and how doing the work and putting our work out there should be what we base our self-esteem off rather than the results. I do believe that if you truly love what you're doing, you will feel rewarded already and all the other external rewards will just come as an additional bonus.

Furthermore, I think what you said also links really well to this idea:
"The purpose of life is to discover your gift; the work of life is to develop it; and the meaning of life is to give your gift away." – David Viscott

  9. Congrats on the 2 million subs bro, have to say the law of attraction thing about visualizing the thing before you get is powerful however you are not supposed to act like you have it, you are supposed to visualize and get the feeling how it makes you feel when you have achieved those things only during your visualization session so that you feel it,breathe it and when you back to reality it makes you more hungry to achieve it and it works bro.
